Created for Dahlgren Duck, this brochure is built around restraint, material confidence and subtle detailing.
Nothing about it feels overstated.
The cover is produced using 350gsm Colorplan Racing Green, a stock that already carries enough depth and presence on its own. Rather than printing over it, the surface is left largely untouched, allowing the texture and richness of the material to become part of the design itself.
That decision changes the feel of the entire piece.
A large blind embossed area runs across the front cover, creating depth through pressure and shadow rather than ink. It’s a finish that reveals itself gradually through handling and movement, giving the brochure a quieter, more considered presence.
Gold foil is then introduced with precision.
Applied to both the front and back cover, it creates controlled contrast against the dark green stock without becoming overly decorative. The metallic detail catches light at the right moments, adding refinement while still keeping the overall piece restrained.
Inside, the approach stays clean and balanced.
GalerieArt MAGNO Satin provides sharp image reproduction and consistent colour throughout the internal pages, while still maintaining a softer, more premium feel than a high gloss coated sheet.
The finishing reinforces the quality further.
Gold wire saddle stitching ties directly into the foil detailing on the cover, helping the entire piece feel visually connected from front to back. It’s a small detail, but one that adds significantly to the overall perception of quality and control.
The result is a brochure that feels calm, deliberate and highly crafted without ever needing to shout for attention.
