Created for TWK Scaffolding, this business card takes a more restrained approach to premium detailing, using weight, finish and material layering rather than overly complex graphics.
The structure is what gives the card its presence.
Two 300gsm sheets are bonded together to create a substantial 600gsm final weight, giving the piece a noticeably firmer and more durable feel in the hand. It immediately separates itself from a standard single layer business card through thickness alone.
The design itself stays controlled.
A single PMS 295 blue is printed across the stock, creating a clean and confident contrast against the white surface. Rather than introducing multiple colours or effects, the card relies on consistency and balance to maintain clarity.
Gold foil is used selectively to lift the identity.
Applied to the top sheet only, the foil adds warmth and refinement while keeping the overall look sharp and professional. Combined with the matt laminated surface, the metallic detail feels more integrated and controlled rather than glossy or decorative.
The matt laminate also changes the feel of the piece physically.
It softens the surface slightly, reduces glare and helps the foil stand out more cleanly against the darker printed areas.
At 85mm x 55mm, the format remains familiar, but the heavier construction and restrained finish give the card a much more considered presence.
